Canned compote is a great way to preserve vitamins and nutrients of fruits for a long time. My recipe of gooseberries with orange and lemon will give you the opportunity to enjoy the bright flavors of summer all year round.
Ingredients
- Gooseberry - 300 g
- Orange - 1 piece
- Lemon - 0.5 pieces
- Sugar - 250 g
- Water - 2.5 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the orange and lemon into slices.
Wash the jar thoroughly and cover the gooseberries. Add the citrus fruits.
Pour boiling water and leave for 20 minutes under the lid.
Drain this water and boil it again with sugar.
Pour it back and roll it up for the winter.
