One of the most successful ways to preserve vegetables for the winter is dressing for borscht with beets, carrots and onions. With proper preparation, it remains juicy and fragrant all season. And it's also a great time saver, so that you can quickly cook your favorite borscht.
Ingredients
- Beetroot - 1 kg
- Carrots - 500 g
- Onion - 500 g
- Garlic - 50 g
- Tomato paste - 100 g
- Vegetable oil - 250 ml
- Bay leaf - 3 pieces
- Allspice - 10 peas
- Salt - 2 tsp.
- Sugar - 2 tsp.
- Vinegar - 5 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop all the vegetables as for borscht.
Mix all the ingredients except garlic and vinegar.
Bring the dressing to a boil and simmer for an hour on low heat.
Add garlic and vinegar, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Roll up the refueling in sterile jars for the winter.
