- Mackerel - 2 kg
- Carrots - 200 g
- Onion - 200 g
- Flour - 2 tbsp.l .
- Vegetable oil - 100 ml
- Tomato paste - 5 tbsp.l.
- Ground coriander - 0,5 tsp.
- Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.
- Bay leaf - 3 pieces
- Sugar - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 1 art.l.
- Water - 300 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Grate carrots, peel and chop onions.
Gut the mackerel, remove the heads and tails. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a paper towel.
Cut the fish into small pieces.
Put on a preheated frying pan with oil and fry for 5-7 minutes on each side.
Separately fry onions and carrots in oil.
Add spices, salt, sugar, flour and water mixed with tomato paste. Boil the sauce for 10 minutes on low heat.
Put half of the roast in the cauldron, then a layer of fried mackerel and the remaining sauce on top. Simmer for 40 minutes on low heat.
Arrange the mackerel in prepared jars, roll it up and leave it warm for a day.
