Who said that vegetable caviar is only banal zucchini and eggplant. In general, it can be prepared from different ingredients. I tried many options, and not all of them were successful. But this caviar from beetroot with apples is just a fairy tale. Be sure to try it on occasion!
Ingredients
- Beetroot - 1 kg
- Apples - 1 kg
- Greenery - 1 bundle
- Vegetable oil - 100 ml
- Sugar - 50 g
- Salt - 30 g
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tbsp.l.
- Apple cider vinegar - 100 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the beets with apples, and grate.
Add sugar, salt and butter. Simmer for an hour on low heat.
Add chopped herbs, spices and vinegar.
Simmer the caviar for another 5-7 minutes and roll it into sterilized jars.
