Sour berries make the most delicious sauces for meat. There are many recipes on this topic. Today I want to offer you an original version of the sauce for cowberry meat. It is not necessary to replace lemon juice with vinegar, it will spoil the taste and aroma of an exquisite seasoning.
Ingredients
- Lingonberries - 500 g
- Lemon juice - 50 ml
- Cinnamon - 1 wand
- Nutmeg - at the tip of the knife
- Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.
- Hop-suneli - 1 tsp.
- Sugar - 2 tbsp.l.
- Salt - 0,5 tsp.
- Water - 200 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the lingonberries, chop them in a blender or pass them through a meat grinder.
Rub the resulting mass through a sieve to remove the peel and seeds.
Add water, spices, sugar, salt and simmer for 10 minutes.
Fish out a cinnamon stick and throw it away.
Add lemon juice, remove the sauce from the heat and put it in the prepared jars. Roll up, turn upside down and wrap up for a day with a warm blanket.
