If you've never dried plums in the oven, it's time to try. Dried plums go well with wine and cheese. This interesting snack will decorate any festive table! Olive oil can be replaced with odorless sunflower oil.
Ingredients
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the plums, divide into halves and remove the bones.
Put the halves of the plums cut up on a baking sheet lined with parchment, add salt and send to a preheated oven to 100-120 ° C for 2-3 hours. Keep the oven door ajar so that condensation comes out - the plums should be dried, not baked. If the plums remain soft after the specified time, continue the drying process.
Peel the garlic and cut into thin slices. After about 2 hours from the start of drying, sprinkle them on the plums.
When the plums and garlic are dry enough, cool them slightly and place them tightly in sterile jars.
Add sprigs of thyme and rosemary.
Pour olive oil into a saucepan and bring to a boil over low heat (do not boil!).
Pour hot oil over the plums in jars to the very top, seal tightly, turn upside down and leave to cool completely. Transfer the cooled workpiece to a cool, dark place for storage.
