Did you know that beet tops are a generous source of vitamins? It is often added to salads, but more on that another time. Today I want to share with you an excellent recipe for canning beet tops. In winter, it is added to soups or eaten just like that.

Ingredients

  • Beet tops - 1 kg
  • Garlic - 5 teeth
  • Dill - 50 g
  • Bay leaf - 3 pieces
  • Black Pepper - 6 peas
  • Vinegar - 100 ml
  • Sugar - 60 g
  • Salt - 60 g
  • Water - 800 ml

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Cut the beet tops into small pieces.

Put garlic, dill, spices and beet tops in jars.

Pour boiling water to the top, cover with lids and leave to warm up for 20 minutes.

Drain the water into a saucepan, add sugar, salt and boil for 2 minutes.

Add vinegar, pour into jars and roll up.
