It is enough to change one ingredient and your favorite salad will sparkle with new colors. Classic herring under a fur coat can be cooked with pickled beets. And it turns out interesting with fresh and boiled. Try both options and rate!
Ingredients
- Herring (finished fillet) – 300 g
- Beetroot - 250 g
- Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Carrots (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
- Garlic - 2 of the clove
- Lemon juice - 1 art.l.
- Soy sauce - 1 tsp.
- Ground coriander - 0,5 tsp.
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the herring into small cubes, chop the onion.
Grate carrots, potatoes and eggs.
Grate the beetroot on a coarse grater, add lemon juice, soy sauce, pepper, coriander, squeeze garlic through a press. Mix well and set aside for 10 minutes.
Lay out layers of herring, onions and potatoes. Add pepper, salt and mayonnaise.
Next come carrots and eggs. Add salt, pepper and mayonnaise again.
Cover the salad with a layer of pickled beetroot and garnish with mayonnaise. Put the finished dish to infuse in the refrigerator for 1.5 hours.
