A healthy pastille can be prepared from any berries and fruits, experimenting with different additives and combinations of flavors. In summer, I advise you to make a fragrant watermelon pastille in the dryer. A delicious dessert will successfully replace chocolates and candies for you.
Ingredients
- Watermelon (pulp) – 2 kg
- Sugar - 150 g
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.l .
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the watermelon pulp from the seeds, chop it in a blender and transfer it to a saucepan.
Add sugar and simmer for 20 minutes.
Puree the resulting mass with an immersion blender until a homogeneous consistency.
Cover the drying trays with baking paper, lubricate with vegetable oil.
Lay out the watermelon blank with a layer of about 0.5 cm. Dry for 4-5 hours at a temperature of 55 degrees.
Separate the finished pastille from the paper, cut it and roll it into tubes.
