Do you want to make your diet menu more diverse? Prepare beetroot hummus. The recipe uses sesame paste tahini. Beets can be boiled or baked in the oven if desired. In any case, it turns out very tasty!
Ingredients
- Chickpeas (dry) – 2 glasses
- Beetroot (boiled) – 300 g
- Tahini - 2 tbsp.l .
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Lemon juice - 30 ml
- Olive oil - 3 tbsp.l.
- Ground red pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pre-soak chickpeas for 12 hours in cold water.
Change the water, bring to a boil and cook for 1.5 hours on low heat.
Flip the chickpeas into a colander, and then lay out a thin layer to dry on a towel.
Cut the beets into large chunks and place them in a blender.
Add salt, ground pepper, peeled garlic cloves and grind until smooth.
Add the tahini, butter, lemon juice, chickpeas and turn on the blender for another 3-5 minutes.
Hummus can be served with herbs, pesto sauce, crackers and bread.
