It is difficult to find a really delicious shawarma: there is not enough meat, then the sauce is not delicious. It is better to prepare a snack yourself. I offer you an excellent recipe for shawarma with chicken in pita bread. And most importantly — you will be able to determine the quantity and range of additives yourself.
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 300 g
- Tomatoes - 1 piece
- Cabbage - 150 g
- Carrots - 100 g
- Pickled cucumbers - 2 pieces
- Garlic - 2 teeth
- Vegetable oil - 30 ml
- Lemon juice - 2 art.l.
- Mayonnaise - 3 tbsp.l
- Mustard - 1 art.l.
- Hops-suneli - 0,5 tsp.
- Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.
- Salt - 0,5 tsp.
- Lavash (thin) – 2 of the sheet
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the chicken fillet into large pieces.
Put on a preheated frying pan with oil and fry until tender.
Take out the finished fillet on a board, chop, sprinkle with salt and spices.
Chop cabbage, tomatoes and cucumbers. Grate the carrots.
Mix cabbage with carrots, lemon juice and mash slightly.
Mix mayonnaise, mustard and garlic passed through the press.
Spread the pita bread on the table, smear with fragrant sauce.
Put fried chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers and cabbage salad on the edge of the workpiece.
Turn the sides inside and roll the pita bread into a roll.
Lightly brown the finished shawarma in a grill pan.
