Eggs are a standard ingredient of any forshmak. But even they are used and added in different ways. You can just rub a boiled egg into the dish, or you can make it a little more interesting – and then I'll tell you exactly how.
Ingredients
- Herring (fillet) – 3 pieces
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Apples - 1 piece
- Chicken eggs - 3 pieces
- Vinegar - 1 art.l.
- Mustard - 0.5 tsp.
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pass the herring fillet, peeled apple and onion through the meat grinder twice. Season to taste.
Boil hard-boiled eggs, separate the whites from the yolks and rub the whites into minced meat.
Rub the yolks with mustard and vinegar. Also add to the forshmak and mix.
