I love onigiri for the fact that you can wrap literally any filling in them. For example, very tasty, light and healthy rice triangles are obtained with tuna and cucumber. I advise you to take tuna in your juice, not in oil.
Ingredients
- Round rice - 2 glasses
- Water - 2.5 glasses
- Rice vinegar - 3 tbsp.l .
- Salt - 0.5 tsp.
- Sugar - 0.5 tsp.
- Tuna - 200 g
- Soy sauce - 1.5 tbsp.l.
- Mayonnaise - 5-6 art.l.
- Cucumbers - 1 piece
- Nori - 1 sheet
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the rice in water according to the instructions.
Add vinegar, sugar and salt, and let it brew.
If desired, add sesame seeds, spices or chopped nori to it.
Mash the tuna with a fork and mix with mayonnaise and soy sauce. Slice the cucumber.
Put the rice cakes in onigiri molds or on a film.
Lay out the filling, form onigiri and wrap with a strip of nori.
