In Japan, onigiri is as simple and quick a snack as we have sandwiches or rolls in pita bread. They cook very quickly and you can hide a variety of fillings in them. For example, I really like these omelet onigiri.
Ingredients
- Round rice - 200 g
- Rice vinegar - 2 art.l.
- Sugar - 0.5 tbsp.l .
- Salt - 0.5 tsp.
- Mayonnaise - 2 art.l.
- Chicken eggs - 1 piece
- Green onion - 3 pen
- Nori - 1 sheet
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the rice according to the instructions. Season with vinegar, sugar and salt, and let cool.
Beat the egg, fry a thin omelet and cut into strips.
Chop the green onions.
Form small cakes of rice.
Put some mayonnaise, omelet and onion.
Form dense onigiri with your hands or using a mold.
Wrap each blank with a strip of nori.
