Beets can be bought throughout the year, but still young is much sweeter and tastier. These features of it are preserved even when preparing blanks for the winter. Therefore, I suggest to stock up on such a beautiful and fragrant salad with garlic.

Cut the beetroot into medium pieces, and grate the onion.
Fry the onion in vegetable oil until soft, add the beets and fry for another 7-10 minutes.
Add crushed garlic and, if desired, spices to taste. Simmer everything together for another 10 minutes under the lid.
At the very end, add salt, sugar and vinegar. Stir and remove from heat after 2 minutes.
Immediately roll the beet salad into sterilized jars.
