Shawarma is often cooked in a pit. The tortilla is cut in half or used whole. This is especially convenient when you need to reduce the portion. I tell you how I cook shawarma in the pit. For the filling we will use chicken, French fries and tomatoes.
Ingredients
- Pete - 4 pieces
- Chicken fillet - 300 g
- Potatoes (fries) – 300 g
- Cherry tomatoes - 250 g
- Breadcrumbs - 2 art.l.
- Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.l.
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Hops-suneli - 1 tbsp.l.
- Salt - to taste
- Sauce (tzatziki) – 150 ml
- Thyme - a couple of twigs
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the chicken fillet, dry it and cut it into small cubes.
Mix breadcrumbs, salt, ground pepper and hops-suneli.
Roll the chopped chicken in the resulting mixture and fry until cooked in a preheated frying pan with oil.
Cut cherry tomatoes in half.
Spread the pita on the table and brush with a thin layer of sauce.
Place French fries, fried chicken and tomatoes in the middle in one direction.
Sprinkle with thyme and add a little more sauce if desired.
Tuck the pitu from the sides, wrap it in paper and fix it with a thick thread.
