Rinse the pearl barley and soak it in cold water for 1 hour.
Wash the pork, cut into small pieces and place in a saucepan.
Add the pearl barley, bay leaf, black pepper, cold water and cook for 50 minutes on low heat.
Cut tomatoes, carrots, celery and peeled onions into large chunks.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion and carrot and fry for 2-3 minutes.
Pour tomatoes, roast and celery into a saucepan. Boil everything together for 10 minutes.
Add salt to the finished soup and leave to infuse under the lid for 15-20 minutes.
