Compotes of apples, pears, raspberries, cherries and other garden fruits or berries are perfectly familiar to everyone. But sometimes you want variety. And sometimes I want something more refreshing, and it is on such days that I cook lemon compote.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the lemon into slices.
Add sugar and water, and bring to a boil.
Boil the compote for 7 minutes.
Remove from heat, add basil and let the compote brew under the lid.
