Is the bread stale? Don't rush to throw it away! You can cook a delicious soup with bread dumplings. The dish is so simple that even an inexperienced cook can easily cope with it. In order not to be distracted during the cooking process, collect all the necessary ingredients on the table at once.
Ingredients
- Potatoes - 2 pieces
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Green peas - 150 g
- Celery - 100 g
- Greenery (different) – 4 twigs
- Salt - 2 tsp.
- Water (purified) – 2.5 l
- White bread (stale) – 400 g
- Chicken eggs - 2 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Flour - 2 tbsp.l.
- Butter - 20 g
- Milk - 180 ml
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop celery, carrots, peeled onions and potatoes.
Pour carrots, potatoes, celery into boiling water and boil for 10 minutes.
Cut the bread into small cubes and pour warm milk for 15 minutes. Remove and squeeze out the excess milk.
Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the onion until golden brown.
Mix eggs, bread, roast, flour, salt and ground black pepper.
Knead the mass with your hands until smooth and form balls of the same size.
Throw all the dumplings into the boiling soup one piece at a time and boil for 5 minutes.
Add green peas, add salt and turn off after 3 minutes.
When serving soup, add some greens to the plate.
