Once at a party I tried herring under a fur coat with avocado. It turned out that the fruit is just perfectly combined with the rest of the salad ingredients. To select a ripe avocado, press your fingers on the peel. It should be easy to give in and regain its shape.
Ingredients
- Herring (finished fillet) – 300 g
- Beetroot (boiled) – 200 g
- Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
- Carrots (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Avocado (ripe) – 1 piece
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
- Lemon juice - 1 art.l.
- Hot red pepper (flakes) – 0.5 tsp.
- Rosemary (for decoration) – a couple of twigs
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop the herring and onion. Grate the cooked vegetables on a grater. Peel the avocado, chop and sprinkle with lemon juice.
Lay the herring, onion and potatoes on a plate in layers. Add salt and mayonnaise.
Add a layer of avocado and sprinkle with pepper flakes.
Arrange the carrots mixed with mayonnaise and cover with beets on top.
Decorate the salad with patterns of mayonnaise and fragrant rosemary. Put the finished dish in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
