Today I want to share another interesting recipe — herring under a fur coat with purple onions. If you come across a sweet variety of onion, it is not necessary to pickle it. But I like it more, the salad turns out more interesting and tastier.
Ingredients
- Herring (low salt) – 1 piece
- Beetroot (boiled) – 200 g
- Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
- Carrots (boiled) – 150 g
- Bow purple - 2 pieces
- Dill - half-pack
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
- Wine vinegar - 1 tbsp.l.
- Olive oil - 1 tsp.
- Sugar - 0,5 tsp.
- Salt - to taste
- Ground black pepper - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel, gut and finely chop the herring.
Grate boiled vegetables on a coarse grater, chop dill. Chop the onion, mix with wine vinegar, salt, sugar, pepper, oil and cover with a lid for 10 minutes.
Put layers of herring and potatoes on the bottom of the prepared plate. Season with salt, pepper and mayonnaise.
Then add the pickled onions and carrots. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and dill.
Put beetroot mixed with mayonnaise on top. Flatten, decorate with patterns and sprinkle with dill. Infuse the salad for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
