Usually jelly is made from fresh fruits or berries. But you can use ready-made compote, which is boring in its pure form. Flour, starch and other thickeners are added for consistency. I share my favorite option.
Ingredients
- Water - 2 l
- Berries - 350 g
- Cinnamon - 1 wand
- Star anise - 2 asterisks
- Sugar - 150 g
- Starch - 3 tbsp.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Fill the berries with water, bring to a boil and add sugar and spices.
Boil the compote for 15-20 minutes. Let it cool under the lid and strain.
Dilute the starch in a glass of compote.
Bring the remaining compote to a boil.
Slowly pour in the starch, stirring, and boil the jelly for another 2-3 minutes.
