Getting rid of twigs is not the most pleasant part of working with red currants. Especially if there are a lot of berries. It just takes time. So one day I tried to cook compote just like that, and I didn't find any difference.
Ingredients
- Red Currant - 600 g
- Water - 1.5 l
- Sugar - 7 tbsp.l .
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the currants directly with the twigs.
Boil water, add berries and sugar, and bring to a boil again.
Boil the compote for 7-10 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
