Classic ketchup is tomatoes, everything is clear here. And what about more original solutions? Have you ever tried banana ketchup? Very unusual and bright in taste, it goes well with meat, various snacks and even with unsweetened pancakes.
Ingredients
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.l.
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Chili pepper - 1 piece
- Ginger (grated) – 2 tsp.
- Turmeric - 0.5 tsp.
- Bananas - 4 pieces
- Apple cider vinegar - 0.5 glasses
- Honey - 2 tbsp.l.
- Tomato paste - 1 art.l.
- Soy sauce - 1 art.l.
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
- Rum - 2 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop onion, garlic, chili and ginger.
Fry everything for a couple of minutes in oil with spices and turmeric.
Add the sliced bananas and all the other ingredients.
Bring the sauce to a boil, boil for 15 minutes on low heat and let it cool for 10 minutes.
Grind the ketchup with a blender until smooth. If necessary, add water.
