The homeland of most tomato sauces is beautiful Italy. Here they are added to pasta and pizza, and often just eaten with breadsticks and ciabatta. Prepare a delicious sugo sauce and decide for yourself what to add it to.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 1 kg
- Bell pepper - 200 g
- Onion - 200 g
- Hot red pepper - 1 pod
- Garlic - 20 g
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.l.
- Lemon juice - 50 ml
- Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.
- Sugar - 2 tbsp.l.
- Salt - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop tomatoes, peeled onions and bell peppers.
Cut the hot pepper in half, remove the seeds, chop.
Put the onion in a preheated frying pan with oil and fry until golden brown.
Add hot and bell pepper, simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Chop tomatoes in a blender or pass through a meat grinder.
Add tomato juice, garlic passed through the press, salt and sugar to the roast. Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
Puree the sauce with an immersion blender.
Add ground pepper, lemon juice and boil for another 5 minutes.
