Borscht with duck is a very unusual and interesting variation if you have a couple of pieces of poultry left. I am sure that only a few have tried such a recipe. But he definitely deserves attention! And outwardly, the first dish does not differ at all from the classic one.

Wash and slice the duck, fill with water, bring to a boil and remove the foam. Add spices and cook for half an hour over medium heat.

Cut the beetroot into strips, add to the duck and reduce the heat even more.

When the beetroot brightens, add the potatoes.

While everything is cooking, fry the onion and carrot until soft. Add tomato paste and simmer for a couple of minutes.

Send the roast, chopped cabbage and pepper to the pan.

Cook everything together for about half an hour and season at the end.
