This recipe is convenient because it is prepared quickly, simply and from affordable products. Red lentils, unlike other legumes, do not need to be soaked and boiled for a long time, they boil literally in 5 minutes. And, despite the simplicity of the ingredients, the soup turns out to be thick, hearty and very tasty.

Wash the lentils, put them in a saucepan, cover with water, bring to a boil and cook over low heat until it is completely boiled.

Finely chop the onion and fry in vegetable oil until soft.

Peel the carrots and grate them on a coarse grater, add them to the onion in the pan. Continue frying for another 5-7 minutes.

Add the roast and vermicelli to the pan with the lentils. Season the soup with salt and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.
