Of course, in the classic recipe of Ukrainian borscht there could be no question of any hunting sausages. But many years have passed since then, and we have the entire range of modern supermarkets at our disposal. So let's experiment!
Ingredients
- Hunting sausages - 300 g
- Sauerkraut - 300 g
- Potatoes - 4 pieces
- Beetroot - 2 pieces
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Tomato paste - 1 art.l.
- Spices and seasonings - 1 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Grate the beets and carrots, randomly chop the rest of the vegetables and sausages. Rinse and squeeze the cabbage.
Fry the onion and carrot. Add the beets, and fry for a couple more minutes. Add the tomato and stir.
Put the roast in a saucepan, add all the other ingredients, pour water or broth and cook the borscht for 30-40 minutes until ready.
A couple of minutes before the end, season it to taste.
