Is it possible to cook classic Ukrainian borscht without at least one traditional ingredient? Of course you can! Since ancient times, there has not been a single generally accepted recipe, and each hostess had her own secrets. Today we will cook such a borscht without potatoes! Also in a slow cooker.
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 1 piece
- Sauerkraut - 300 g
- Beetroot - 2 pieces
- Cabbage - 100 g
- Carrots - 2 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Tomato paste - 2 art.l.
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tbsp.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Coarsely chop the fillets, pour water in the bowl of a slow cooker and set the program for cooking soups for an hour.
After half an hour, add grated beets, carrots and chopped onions.
After another 10 minutes, add sauerkraut, chopped tomatoes and tomato paste with spices.
Cook borscht until the end of the program.
