If you are tired of the classic recipe for herring under a fur coat, then I recommend cooking this salad with prunes. In this combination, beets and herring turn out even tastier. Rest assured, your guests and family will appreciate the original treat!
Ingredients
- Herring (low salt) – 1 piece
- Potatoes (boiled) – 250 g
- Beetroot (boiled) – 200 g
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 3 pieces
- Carrots (boiled) – 150 g
- Prunes (without a bone) – 100 g
- Onion - 1 piece
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
- Iceberg lettuce - 2 leaf
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the herring, gut it and chop it finely. Grate the vegetables and eggs, chop the onion and prunes with a knife.
Put lettuce leaves on a plate, then layers of herring, onions and potatoes. Add salt, pepper and mayonnaise.
Next, put the eggs, carrots and prunes mixed with beets. Sprinkle each layer of salad with pepper, salt and grease with mayonnaise.
Decorate the dish with crumbs of boiled yolks and whites. Before serving, the salad should be infused in the refrigerator for 1.5-2 hours.
