Pork stewed with vegetables in tomato is pieces of juicy meat in a fragrant sauce with a rich and varied taste. The taste of Bulgarian pepper and tomato sourness is especially good here. I'm sharing this simple recipe with you!
Ingredients
- Pork (medium fat) – 400 g
- Tomatoes (wiped) – 300 ml
- Onion - 1 piece
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Bell pepper - 1 piece
- Vegetable oil (for frying) – 2 tbsp.l.
- Salt - to taste
- Spices and seasonings - to taste
- Bay leaf - 2 leaflet
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the chilled or thawed meat into medium-sized pieces, simultaneously cutting off excess fat, cartilage and films.
Heat the oil in a frying pan. Put the pieces of pork and fry over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring. Add spices.
Chop the onion and pepper, grate the carrots, add to the pan, stir and fry for another 5-6 minutes.
You can take tomatoes in their own juice and twist them, or ready-made tomato puree. Pour the tomato into the pan, add water if necessary. Put the bay leaf, add salt and mix. Simmer for 30-40 minutes – until the pork is soft.
Serve ready-made pork as an independent dish, with vegetables and herbs, or as an addition to the side dish.
