Chicken with rice is a delicious and satisfying dish for the whole family. It is convenient to cook it in the oven, in a large form, as well as in a slow cooker. You can take chicken fillet or chicken pieces on the bone.
Ingredients
- Chicken - 500 g
- Fig (long grain) – 80 g
- Mayonnaise - 2 tbsp.l.
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Water - 200 ml
- Salt - to taste
- Spices and seasonings - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the chicken meat and cut off all the excess. You can remove the bones and remove the skin.
Salt the chicken and add spices.
Add mayonnaise and crushed garlic.
Mix and cover the bowl with cling film, put it away in the cold for at least a quarter of an hour.
Put the washed long-grain rice in a baking dish with high sides, add salt to it.
Put chicken pieces on top of the rice.
Pour water into the mold, cover the mold with foil and make several punctures in it. Cook the dish in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and cook for another 5 minutes.
Serve the chicken with rice hot or warm. If desired, you can sprinkle with chopped herbs before serving.
