Do you want to cook something simple and very satisfying? I suggest stewing cabbage with pork. Young meat with a small amount of fat is best suited for this. It cooks faster and gives the cabbage the necessary juiciness.
Ingredients
- Cabbage (white) – 800 g
- Pork (pulp) – 500 g
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Tomato paste - 2 tbsp.l .
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Vegetable oil (odorless) – 80 ml
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Water - 300 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the pork, dry it slightly and cut it into small pieces.
Peel the onion and finely chop it, chop the cabbage into strips.
Heat the oil in a deep frying pan, add the onion and fry until golden brown.
Add the meat and continue cooking, stirring constantly.
When all the pork pieces are thoroughly browned, add warm water, bay leaf, tomato paste and cover for 20 minutes.
Add the cabbage and simmer for another 20 minutes. Stir the vegetables with meat periodically so that they do not burn.
Season the finished dish with pepper, salt and leave under the lid for 10 minutes.
