Is it possible to cook borscht completely without meat and without poultry? Of course you can! Further in the recipe I will tell you how to do it. And to make it even more satisfying, I suggest adding some canned beans. It is an invaluable source of vegetable protein.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Cut the beetroot into strips and fry it with crushed garlic until soft.

Add chopped carrots, peppers and onions.

Chop the tomatoes in a blender, mix with the tomato, and send it there in a couple of minutes.

Simmer the vegetables until tender.

Add water, beans and cabbage to the vegetables. Bring to a boil and cook everything together for another 10 minutes.
