You won't believe it, but you can cook whole fried chicken in a slow cooker. Of course, the device must be of a certain volume, and a particularly large chicken will not do. But in general, it turns out to be no worse than the popular option in the oven.
Ingredients
- Chicken (average) – 1 piece
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.l.
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the chicken, dry it with paper towels, rub it well with ground pepper and salt on all sides.
Turn on the slow cooker in the "Frying" mode. Lubricate the bottom and sides of the bowl with oil with a silicone brush.
Carefully put the chicken in a slow cooker, breast down. Close the lid and cook for 20 minutes.
Open the lid, flip the chicken to the other side and continue frying for another 20 minutes under the lid.
Turn off the slow cooker and do not take out the bird for 10-15 minutes.
