Pearl porridge is a great addition to the daily PP diet. Especially if you serve it with vegetables, herbs and boiled egg. I tell you how to cook it quickly and simply in a slow cooker. But I recommend to soak the cereal in advance for at least a couple of hours.
Ingredients
- Pearl barley - 1 glass
- Water - 4-5 glasses
- Salt - 1 pinch
- Ground black pepper - 1 pinch
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Rinse the pearl barley, pour half of the water, bring to a boil and cook for 15 minutes.
Put it in a colander, put it back in the pan and fill with the remaining water.
Cook the porridge over medium heat for about half an hour until ready.
Add salt and season to taste.
