Meatballs with lentils are a full–fledged main dish that does not need side dishes or any other additives. This is a great dinner option for a large family. And also very useful due to legumes, vegetables and herbs.
Ingredients
- Minced meat - 600 g
- Meat broth - 100 ml
- Green lentils - 100 g
- Carrots - 2 pieces
- Bow purple - 1 piece
- Garlic - 3 teeth
- Cilantro - 0.5 beam
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
- Chicken eggs - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Tomato juice - 300 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop the onion in a blender. Mix it with minced meat, egg and spices.
Boil the lentils until half cooked. Add a handful to the minced meat, mix again and form meatballs.
Cut carrots and purple onion, fry lightly.
Add the lentils, tomato juice and broth, and bring everything to a boil.
Put the meatballs in the same place and simmer for 25 minutes under the lid.
A couple of minutes before the end, add spices, crushed garlic and chopped cilantro.
