Ingredients
- Cabbage (white) – 1 head
- Meat broth - 700 ml
- Tomato sauce - 180 ml
- Black Pepper - 3 peas
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Minced pork - 350 g
- Fig - 150 g
- Onion - 1 piece
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut out the stalk and put the cabbage in a saucepan with boiling water.
Take the cabbage out of the water from time to time and remove the finished leaves with a fork.
Rinse the rice under running water, pour boiling water and leave under the lid for 15 minutes.
Peel the onion and finely chop it, grate the carrots.
Mix minced meat, rice, onion, carrot, egg, salt and ground pepper.
Put some filling on the edge of the cabbage leaf and roll it into an envelope. Repeat the procedure with the remaining leaves.
Cover the bottom of the pan with cabbage leaves, lay cabbage rolls loosely on top.
In a separate saucepan, boil the broth, add tomato sauce, salt and pepper. Boil for 10 minutes.
Pour the tomato broth into a saucepan with cabbage rolls, cover with a lid and simmer for 1 hour.
Insist ready-made cabbage rolls for 10-15 minutes after switching off.
