Once the whole family went on vacation to Armenia. There I found out the real recipe for pilaf with beef in a frying pan. The highlight of the dish is garlic — cloves together with the husks are added during cooking. I've been cooking like this for many years and it always turns out very tasty!

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash the beef, dry it slightly and cut it into small pieces.

Chop carrots and peeled onions. Disassemble the garlic into cloves and rinse together with the husk.

Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion and carrot and fry until golden brown.

Add beef, cumin and hops-suneli. Fry everything together for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.

Pour 2 cups of hot water into a frying pan, cover with a lid and simmer for half an hour over low heat.

Add the washed rice, salt, pour in the remaining water and continue cooking for 20 minutes.

Open the lid and carefully put the garlic cloves into the pilaf. Try to distribute them evenly. Cook for another 10 minutes. The liquid should evaporate completely.

Turn off the heat, cover with a lid and infuse the finished pilaf for 20-30 minutes.
