Bright, healthy and beautiful oatmeal with pumpkin is the perfect breakfast for autumn and winter days. I advise you to experiment with spices and additives. I sometimes make such oatmeal with cheese and nutmeg, and sometimes with yogurt, cinnamon and sugar.
Ingredients
- Oat flakes - 180 g
- Pumpkin - 150 g
- Milk - 500 ml
- Water - 250 ml
- Sugar - 75 g
- Salt - 1 pinch
- Butter - 20 g
- Pumpkin seeds - 1 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the pumpkin and cut it into small cubes. Boil in water or steamed for about 20 minutes until soft, and then grind into a puree with a pusher or blender.
Pour oat flakes into a saucepan, add pumpkin puree and pour water with milk.
Add salt and sugar, mix everything well and cook the porridge over low heat, stirring.
When the porridge is cooked, add butter and seeds, and add spices or toppings to taste.
