Feijoada is an original folk dish with African roots, but today it is popular in Portugal and Brazil. It is made from beans and various types of meat products, and the subtleties of the recipe vary from region to region. I suggest you try this option!
Ingredients
- Beans (black) – 600 g
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Carrots - 2 pieces
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Chili pepper - 2 pieces
- Garlic - 2 teeth
- Water - 1 l
- Pork ribs - 500 g
- Bacon - 100 g
- Sausages - 200 g
- Beef - 250 g
- Smoked sausage - 150 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Soak the beans overnight in water, and the next day spread them out into peas.
Cut the beef, sausages, ribs and spread them out too. Add salt.
Chop the onion and carrot. Fry until soft and add bacon and smoked sausage.
Fry for a couple more minutes, and add garlic, chili and tomatoes.
After 2-3 minutes, arrange the roast in pots.
Add spices to taste and add a little water.
Bake everything together for about 1.5-2 hours in the oven at 180 degrees.
