Marinades for meat are made from different ingredients. Vinegar, onion, mineral water, wine, dairy products and juice are often used. I recently had a chance to try beef kebab on beer. Alcohol greatly softened the meat, gave it juiciness and a special delicate taste.

Peel the onion and garlic from the husk, chop in a blender.
Cut the beef into small cubes and put it in a bowl.
Add chopped onion with garlic, salt and ground pepper. Stir and set aside for 30 minutes.
Pour in the beer, stir again and cover tightly with cling film. Put the workpiece in the refrigerator for 1 day.
Put the meat on skewers and fry on the grill for 20-25 minutes, turning it over often.
Peel the onion, chop it and mix it with vinegar.
Put the finished kebab on the pita bread, add the pickled onion on top, sprinkle with finely chopped dill.
