Nomadic pastoralists cooked a hearty goulash over a campfire. There are many modern alternatives now. For example, you can use a slow cooker. The device provides uniform heating and a suitable temperature, so the dish turns out to be perfect.
Ingredients
- Pork - 800 g
- Bell pepper - 200 g
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Tomato juice - 150 ml
- Vegetable oil - 50 ml
- Flour - 2 tbsp.l.
- Zira - 0,5 tsp.
- Paprika - 0,5 tsp.
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Water (hot) – 1,5 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop pork, peeled onion and bell pepper.
Turn on the slow cooker on the "Frying" program, pour in half the oil and heat it up well.
Add the onion and fry until golden brown.
Add bell pepper and spices. Cook for 5 minutes, then put the vegetables in a separate bowl.
Pour the remaining oil into the bowl of the slow cooker, add the pork and fry for 10 minutes.
Add flour, stir and cook for another 2 minutes.
Add the fried vegetables, hot water, tomato juice and salt. Close the lid and turn on the "Extinguishing" mode for 2 hours.
