One of the most popular first courses can be safely called pea soup. Today I am happy to share with you the classic recipe of this wonderful treat. Even a novice hostess can easily cope with the task. Prepare everything you need and get started!

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash the peas thoroughly and soak them in cold water for 2 hours.

Chop pork, ribs, peeled onions and potatoes. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

Rinse the peas again, pour into a saucepan with fresh water and bring to a boil.

Add pork, bay leaf and cook for 1 hour over low heat.

Fry chopped onions and carrots in vegetable oil until golden brown.

Add pork ribs, Italian herbs and continue frying for another 10 minutes.

Pour the roast with the ribs into a saucepan, add the potatoes and cook for 15 minutes.

Add salt, pepper and remove from heat. Infuse the ready pea soup under the lid for 20 minutes.

When serving, add some fresh herbs to the plate.
