Most ardent opponents of pearl barley simply do not know that it can also be cooked very tasty. Including in the form of a sweet breakfast. For example, my favorite option is with nuts and banana. If desired, add a couple of spoonfuls of honey.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Rinse the pearl barley, cover with water, boil for 15 minutes after boiling and discard in a colander.

Pour in about 500 ml of water again, and cook over medium heat until tender.

Add finely chopped banana, cinnamon and chopped nuts.

Let the porridge brew under the lid for 10 minutes.
