I think every housewife has her own recipe for classic homemade meatballs in tomato sauce. Today I want to share with you my favorite option! My secret is a little rosemary and fragrant freshly ground pepper.
Ingredients
- Minced meat - 500 g
- Fig - 0,5 glasses
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Tomato paste - 3-4 art.l.
- Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.
- Rosemary - 2 twigs
- Flour - 2 art.l.
- Hop-suneli - 1 tsp.
- Sea salt - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the rice almost to readiness in boiling water, rinse with cold water and cool.
Finely chop one onion and add it to the minced meat along with the rice.
Add salt, spices and chopped rosemary, and leave the minced meat to stand for a couple of minutes.
Form small meatballs, roll in flour and lightly fry in a frying pan. Send them to a cauldron or a thick-walled pan.
Grate the carrots, finely chop the onion and fry until golden. Add the tomato paste and stir.
Add water to the sauce to the desired consistency, pour the meatballs and simmer under the lid on low heat for 20-25 minutes.
