Classic French cordon bleu is a breaded veal schnitzel. But nothing prevents you from cooking it from chicken fillet exactly on the same principle. I advise you to choose low-fat, boiled or smoked ham.
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 4 pieces
- Cheese - 100 g
- Ham - 4 slices
- Flour - 100 g
- Breadcrumbs - 50 g
- Chicken eggs - 1 piece
- Olive oil - 4 art.l.
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut and unfold each chicken fillet, and then beat it off so that it becomes about 5 mm thick.
Put a slice of ham and a piece of cheese on each piece.
Sprinkle with spices and fasten the edges of the cutlet with wooden skewers as needed. Put it in the freezer for 3 minutes.
Dip each cutlet in flour, beaten egg and breadcrumbs.
Fry in olive oil on both sides over low heat so that the cutlet has time to fry inside.
