Few people are not familiar with the delicious French cookies "Madeleine". It is prepared in the form of scallops from an airy sponge dough. I advise you to use silicone molds – they do not need to be lubricated and the cookies are conveniently removed!
Ingredients
- Flour - 1,5 glasses
- Chicken eggs - 4 pieces
- Butter - 150 g
- Powdered sugar - 120 g
- Baking powder dough - 1 tsp.
- Lemon zest - 0,5 tsp.
- Salt - 0,25 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Melt the butter and cool slightly.
Beat eggs with powdered sugar on medium speed.
Add flour mixed with baking powder and zest.
Add butter, salt and knead the dough. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave for 40 minutes at room temperature.
Fill the molds with two-thirds of the dough. Cookies will grow, so be sure to leave free space.
Bake in a preheated oven according to the following scheme: 2 minutes at 220 degrees, 3 minutes at 200 degrees and another 5 minutes at 180 degrees.
