Imeruli or Imeretian khachapuri differ in that the filling is inside them. Due to this, they can even be fried in a frying pan. But this time I want to focus on a more classic version – in the oven. Very tasty!
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Mix yeast, sugar, salt and warm milk, and leave for 10 minutes.
Add butter and sifted flour, knead the dough and leave for another 30-40 minutes.
Divide the dough into 4 parts and roll out into layers.
Mix both grated cheeses with egg and put on each layer.
Pinch the edges of the dough into a bag and roll it out again, but not so thinly.
Bake khachapuri in the oven for 20 minutes at 200 degrees.
