Ingredients

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Prepare the sourdough: to do this, mix warm milk and water in equal proportions in a bowl, enter yeast, sugar and a third of flour. Mix well and leave in the heat until a fluffy cap forms (about 20 minutes).

When the sourdough is ready, add the melted margarine, beaten egg and a pinch of salt. In small portions, enter the remaining sifted flour, knead the dough.

When the dough becomes dense enough, transfer it to a table sprinkled with flour and continue kneading with your hands for 10 minutes. Then cover the dough with a film and leave for 1 hour to rise.

After an hour, gently knead the dough, divide it into several parts. Form a sausage from each part of the dough, cut into small pieces, roll into balls. Cover the dough balls with a towel and leave for proofing for about 15 minutes.

Fry the baursaks in a large amount of hot vegetable oil until golden brown. Flip the products into a colander to remove excess fat.

Serve ready-made baursaks to the table fresh or sprinkled with powdered sugar.
